London Wallpapers II

London Wallpapers II is a collection of eight historic wallpaper designs, each redrawn from originals found in the extensive English Heritage archive at Kenwood House in London. Dating from 1755 to 1915, the papers were originally manufactured in London to decorate smart city and country homes and span a wider timescale than the original London Wallpapers collection.

The London Wallpapers collection from the Little Greene Paint company has been inspired by eight historic papers from the English Heritage archive dating from the 1760’s to 1890’s. Whilst not an exact copy of the original maintains its essence and traditional feel, re-scaled and re-coloured to achieve a more modern appeal through the use of vivid colours and metallic finishes. Little Greene’s aim is to bring these archive designs back to life, reinterpreting them in a way that makes them suitable for use in the 21st century.
