The Charlie Wilson Collection
browse the The Charlie Wilson Collection collectionThis collection from Cole & Son is named after Charlie Wilson who joined Coles in 1951 as an apprentice block printer. For 57 years Charlie’s artistic sensibilities and craftsmanship have been applied to the printing of thousands of rolls of Coles’ wallpaper in countless designs and there is no higher tribute than to name this elegant and understated collection after him. The Coles Design Studio delved into the 250 year old archive and came up with a distillation of what Cole & Son stands for - tradition and style with an edge. A small selection of this collection of pretty, small scale designs many of which have beautiful metallic effects available in their colour palette. The colours includes soft dove greys, creams, minks browns with some stunning silver and gold metallics too. The image shows the Daisy design in the pretty silver on off-white colourway. The Fornasetti Collection
browse the The Fornasetti Collection collectionColes are delighted to present the Fornasetti Collection consisting of 14 designs selected from fine drawings in the archive of Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988). These wallpapers incorporate elements from the Fornasetti archives used to make stunning large scale designs in a palette of useable colours ranging from reds and golds, to neutrals and blacks. They include ‘Tema e Variazioni’ which uses the famous images of a girl’s face; abstract shapes based on natural objects such as ‘Malachite’ and ‘Corallo’; buildings in the ‘Mediterranea’ design, and an array of botanically perfect florals, including the hydrangea design ‘Ortensia’ (shown), pansies, peonies and the forbidden fruit and monkeys in ‘Frutto Proibito’.

From the early days of punk rock to establishing her own international fashion house Vivienne Westwood has been a major influence for over three decades. She is known as a symbol of British avant-garde and for her inimitable take on traditional British style and design. Most of the designs use fabric detail as motifs, in a range of colours, together with two striking panel murals: one of a Union Jack and the other of a Tartan fabric.
